Basketball Game Preview: Bard Falcons vs. Anacostia Indians

The Bard Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Anacostia Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Monday, Bard was beaten by McDonough 71-44. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in District of Columbia, while the Rams are ranked 119th in Maryland).

Meanwhile, Anacostia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 75-17 loss at the hands of Jackson-Reed.

Bard's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Anacostia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Bard came up short against Anacostia when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 52-43. Can Bard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
