Basketball Recap: West Gate Christian Academy Patriots vs. Palm Grove Christian Gators
A win for West Gate Christian Academy just wasn't in the cards on Monday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They had to suffer through a 78-28 loss at the hands of the Palm Grove Christian Gators.
Leading Palm Grove Christian to victory were Carter Baker and Jeremiah Pitts. Baker went 12 for 22 en route to 24 points plus six assists and six steals, while Pitts went 9 for 14 en route to 20 points plus six steals and five rebounds. Pitts' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Dye, who posted six points in addition to three steals.
The victory (which was Palm Grove Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
