Meanwhile, Academic Magnet unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Pinewood Prep by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Academic Magnet couldn't push the score so high this time.

The win made it two in a row for Cane Bay and bumps their season record up to 11-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two matchups. As for Academic Magnet, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
