Volleyball Recap: Sanford Spartans vs. York Wildcats
Sanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the York Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 25-10.
York can attribute much of their success to MAYA BABCOCK, who had nine digs and two aces.
Sanford's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for York, their record now sits at 4-1.
Sanford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Noble at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for York, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win vs. Cape Elizabeth on the 19th.
