Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Rams vs. Yelm Tornados

The Rogers Rams will venture away from home to take on the Yelm Tornados at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Rogers is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Olympia just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since January 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, Yelm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 55-19 defeat at the hands of South Kitsap.

Rogers' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Yelm, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Rogers against Yelm when the teams last played back in January of 2016, as the squad secured a 61-31 win. In that game, Rogers amassed a halftime lead of 39-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
