Basketball Recap: Riverside Piles Up the Points Against Eminence

While Riverside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to the Eminence Eels for the full four quarters, racking up an 88-25 win. With the Argonauts ahead 51-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Riverside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bini Hopper out in front who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points. Hopper's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Torgrimson, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points.

Riverside was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Riverside, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Eminence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Riverside has already played their next game, a 67-13 victory against Central Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Eminence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-37 defeat against Victory College Prep on the 20th.
