Natchez had to settle for second on Friday, but Kameron Morgan sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Morgan as he threw for 59 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending a pass.

Natchez dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. Morgan's next game is against South Jones on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Jakel Irving Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Natchez had to settle for second even though Jakel Irving put up the best numbers he has all season. Irving picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss). Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.1 total tackles per game.

Irving might have his next game, a home matchup with South Jones, circled on his calendar. Irving picked up three sacks and made nine total tackles the last time he and the Braves duked it out back in October of 2023.

Patrick Banks Delivers Best Effort of Season

Natchez came up short on Friday despite Patrick Banks delivering his best game to date. Banks forced a fumble and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

On the year, Banks has averaged 6.6 total tackles per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 3.43 total tackles per game.
