Volleyball Game Preview: Vallivue Falcons vs. Bishop Kelly Knights

Vallivue hasn't had much luck against Bishop Kelly recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will host the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Vallivue will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Columbia, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since September 4th.

Vallivue had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-11.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Kelly, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Columbia 3-0 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Bishop Kelly won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 25-20.

Vallivue's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Bishop Kelly, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
