Softball Recap: Ida B. Wells Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Ida B. Wells waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Grant Generals. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kai Wisher was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Ida B. Wells now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Grant, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ida B. Wells is set to face off against their familiar foe Cleveland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grant will challenge rival Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
