            Football Recap: Window Rock Fighting Scouts vs. Chinle Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Window Rock extended their losing streak  to seven  on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They lost to the Chinle Wildcats on the road  by a   14-0 margin. The Fighting Scouts lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head  back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  50-0 score last time.
As for Chinle, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.4 points on average over those games.
 Chinle found their leader in sophomore  Cody Curley, who rushed for 194 yards on only 13 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Those 194  rushing yards set a new season-high mark for  Curley. Another player making a difference was  Kaden White, who threw for 127 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
 Window Rock wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  16-12  victory against Monument Valley on the 24th. As for Chinle, they have also already played their next game,  a  48-0  defeat against Page on the 23rd.
