Volleyball Recap: Lexington's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Rogers Pirates by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Brenlee White paced Lexington's offense, picking up nine kills. White got some help from Katelyn Sullivan and her 28 assists. Sullivan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Raegan Pate, racking up two apiece.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Rogers, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Lexington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Deshler on the 20th. As for Rogers, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Elkmont at 6:00 p.m.
