If Yavneh Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chisholm Trail Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Morgan Bergmann. The Blazers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs on Thursday for which the team can thank Bergmann, who had six kills, five aces, and two blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chisholm Trail Academy was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-7, 25-10.

Chisholm Trail Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Briseida Alvarez, who had three digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Lauterbach, who had five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Chisholm Trail Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Chisholm Trail Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Yavneh Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chisholm Trail Academy will challenge rival Burton Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Yavneh Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
