Softball Recap: Robertsdale Gets the Win

While Robertsdale's victory against Excel wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Robertsdale sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Excel on Saturday. While the Golden Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Robertsdale's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Excel, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-8 record.

Robertsdale has already played their next contest, a 16-10 loss against Blacksher on the 22nd. As for Excel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-1 defeat against Thomasville on the 22nd.
