Baseball Recap: Aberdeen Find Success

Aberdeen barely beat Centralia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats never let the Tigers get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Friday. The Bobcats have beaten the Tigers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Bubba Jones was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Aberdeen's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Sam Schreiber, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Aberdeen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive matchups.

Aberdeen now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centralia, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
