Basketball Recap: Winneconne Comes Up Short on the Road Against Appleton North

Winneconne kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to the Appleton North Lightning on the road by a 101-82 margin. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Ingles, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Drew Lenz, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 23 points.

Coming up, Winneconne will venture away from home to take on Omro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Appleton North, they and Bay Port will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
