Basketball Recap: Baldwin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Karez Demory and Jaylen King

After flying high against Aquinas on Friday, Baldwin came back down to earth. The Baldwin Braves took a hard 63-47 fall against the Griffin Bears on Saturday. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Baldwin had strong showings from Jaylen King, who made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points and six boards, and Karez Demory, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Deven Nelson, who earned seven points.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Griffin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Baldwin nor Griffin have any future games scheduled.
