Volleyball Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

After flying high against Guilderland on Friday, Albany came back down to earth. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Blue Streaks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

While Albany had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23.

Albany's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Saratoga Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Albany is set to square off against their familiar foe Schenectady at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Saratoga Springs will take on rival Niskayuna at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
