Basketball Recap: Matt Macbride's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carlson over Edsel Ford

Carlson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 49-42 to the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds. The Marauders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbirds earlier this season, when they won 65-44.

Carlson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Matt MacBride, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 13 points. Austin Saavedra was another key player, putting up eight points.

Carlson's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8. As for Edsel Ford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Carlson will be playing at home against Lincoln Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edsel Ford, they are taking a road trip to face off against Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
