Football Game Preview: Reservoir 'Gators vs. Marriotts Ridge Mustangs

The Reservoir 'Gators will venture away from home to take on the Marriotts Ridge Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Reservoir has given up an average of 28.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Reservoir is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 42-37 to Guilford Park on Friday. While the 'Gators had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Panther 6-0.

Meanwhile, Marriotts Ridge played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Glenelg 42-14. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Gladiators recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Reservoir's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Marriotts Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Reservoir couldn't quite get it done against Marriotts Ridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 14-7. Can the 'Gators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
