Baseball Recap: West Anchorage Comes Up Short

West Anchorage was the 5-3 winner over Wasilla when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Anchorage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Hazlewood, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Anchorage now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wasilla, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coincidentally, West Anchorage and Wasilla will both be playing Eagle River the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
