Soccer Recap: Fort Jennings Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fort Jennings lost against Columbus Grove back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Musketeers lost 6-1 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Fort Jennings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Columbus Grove are ranked 87th).

Fort Jennings was without their leading scorer, Kaylee Geise, in Saturday's game. With Geise sidelined, Leah Kahle got her first action of the season. Kahle made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Fort Jennings' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Columbus Grove, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1-1.

Fort Jennings has already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against Continental on the 2nd. As for Columbus Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against Spencerville on the 2nd.
