Soccer Game Preview: Buchholz vs. Nease

The Buchholz Bobcats will face off against the Nease Panthers at 7:20 p.m. on Friday. Buchholz knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Nease likes a good challenge.

Buchholz is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Gainesville last Wednesday as they made off with a 9-2 victory. It was an even better day for Teague McNeal as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Nease had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Matanzas 2-1. That's two games straight that Nease have won by just one goal.

Nease is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Buchholz, their win bumped their record up to 14-0-1.
