Softball Recap: Tulare Western Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tulare Western took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Taft, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs skirted past the Wildcats 4-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meiah Ledesma was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Makayla Leon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Tulare Western hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.

Tulare Western's win bumped their record up to 12-3-1. As for Taft, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Coming up, Tulare Western will take on Templeton at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taft, they will take on Porterville in a tournament on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
