Basketball Recap: Milford Triumphs

Milford won the last time they faced Thayer Central, and Isaac Roth did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Milford Eagles' way against the Thayer Central Titans on Saturday as the Milford Eagles made off with a 67-47 win thanks in part to Roth, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 26 points and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Despite the defeat, Thayer Central had strong showings from Lukas Kroll, who posted eight points, and Brady Degenhardt, who had eight points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colton Kuhlmann, who scored four points.

Milford's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Thayer Central, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Milford will head out on the road to challenge Lakeview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Lakeview has lost three straight at home , while Milford has lost five on the road. Thayer Central has already played their next match (against Exeter-Milligan/Friend), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
