Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

Appleton North extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-34. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Green Bay Preble Hornets. The Lightning were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Green Bay Preble, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since October 4th.

Kennedy Kielpikowski had a dynamite game, getting 15 digs and ten aces. Those ten aces gave her a new career-high.

Appleton North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Green Bay Preble, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bay Port on the 25th.
