Baseball Recap: Cactus Comes Up Short

Cactus lost against Ironwood back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cactus fell 7-2 to Ironwood.

Raven Anderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on five hits. Those five hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Eli Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Cactus' loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Ironwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Cactus has already played their next game, a 6-5 defeat against Agua Fria on the 27th. As for Ironwood, they will welcome Willow Canyon at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ironwood's pitchers better be ready for this one: Willow Canyon has averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
