Volleyball Game Preview: Brock Eagles vs. Brownwood Lions

Brock is a perfect 4-0 against Brownwood since August of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Brock is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

While Brock's win against Stephenville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a set and slipped past the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees 3-2.

Brock took Stephenville into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-15, 22-25, 22-25, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Brownwood came up short against Graham on Friday, falling 3-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Brownwood was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Graham's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 27-25.

Brownwood now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Brock, their victory bumped their record up to 27-8.

Everything went Brock's way against Brownwood in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Brock made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
