Football Recap: Westview Wolverines vs. Olympian Eagles
Westview took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They skirted past the Olympian Eagles 16-14. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
The critical scores for Westview came from Langdon Mullica and Mason Walsh.
Despite the loss, Olympian had strong showings from Jayden Fuentes, who threw for 194 yards and a touchdown, and Jayden Sandoval, who picked up 69 receiving yards and a touchdown. Sandoval got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of57 yards.
Westview will challenge Mission Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Olympian, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Grossmont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
