Garfield-Palouse came tearing into Friday's matchup with 17 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Dayton Bulldogs to the tune of 69-17. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Garfield-Palouse's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Dayton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
