Baseball Recap: Chico Takes a Loss

Chico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-3 to the Saint Jo Panthers. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Landon Cuevas was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Chico's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Saint Jo, with the victory, they broke their 18-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chico will face off against Poolville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Jo will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nocona at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st.
