Basketball Recap: Bosque Comes Up Short

Bosque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Sandia Prep Sundevils, falling 56-16. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sandia Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Calkins, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Volkman, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points.

Bosque's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Sandia Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Bosque does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandia Prep, they will face off against Cottonwood Classical Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
