Softball Recap: Valencia's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Valencia's win against West Ranch wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Valencia sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over West Ranch on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Carly Kearns spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Blair Rune, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Valencia pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
