Basketball Recap: Dundee-Crown Takes a Loss

Dundee-Crown lost against Crystal Lake Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dundee-Crown Chargers lost 50-29 to the Crystal Lake Central Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while the Tigers are ranked 180th).

Dundee-Crown has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-26 record this season. As for Crystal Lake Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dundee-Crown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Huntley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Huntley will roll in looking for their 31st straight win, something Dundee-Crown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crystal Lake Central, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Crystal Lake South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
