Softball Recap: Southeast Takes a Loss

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 22-0 to the Lemon Bay Manta Rays. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seminoles of the 21-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Southeast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alicia Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Lemon Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Southeast will face off against Cardinal Mooney at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Seminoles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Lemon Bay, they will square off against North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
