Football Game Preview: Ridgemont Golden Gophers vs. Hardin Northern Polar Bears

Ridgemont hasn't had much luck against Hardin Northern recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Gophers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Ridgemont has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Ridgemont made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Upper Scioto Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Golden Gophers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 36-34 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (32), the Golden Gophers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Hardin Northern fell victim to Ridgedale and their airtight defense on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-0 to the Rockets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Ridgemont's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hardin Northern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Ridgemont beat Hardin Northern 14-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Golden Gophers repeat their success, or do the Polar Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
