Volleyball Game Preview: Dedham Marauders vs. Millis Mohawks

Dedham hasn't had much luck against Millis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Marauders will head out to square off against the Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Dedham and Medway had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Marauders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Monday. While the Marauders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-17 in the first set.

Dedham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-16.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Millis and Norwood, and Norwood kept the tradition alive. The Mohawks lost 3-0 to the Mustangs on Monday.

Dedham's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Millis, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Dedham suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Millis when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Marauders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
