Basketball Game Preview: Gulf Shores Dolphins vs. Orange Beach Makos

The Gulf Shores Dolphins will take on the Orange Beach Makos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Gulf Shores was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to Blount. The matchup marked the Dolphins' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Orange Beach came up short against UMS-Wright Prep on Tuesday and fell 39-32. The loss continues a trend for the Makos in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

This is the second loss in a row for Gulf Shores and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Orange Beach, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Gulf Shores strolled past Orange Beach in their previous matchup back in November by a score of 53-39. Will Gulf Shores repeat their success, or does Orange Beach have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
