Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

If Santa Fe was feeling good fresh off their 77-51 takedown of Milby last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Santa Fe Indians opened the new year with a less-than-successful 53-40 loss to the Friendswood Mustangs. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Santa Fe has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Friendswood, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Santa Fe will welcome Texas City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Friendswood, they are taking a road trip to take on Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
