Basketball Game Preview: City of Life Christian Academy Warriors vs. Burns Sci-Tech Eagles

The City of Life Christian Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Burns Sci-Tech Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in City of Life Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

On Tuesday, City of Life Christian Academy really took it to Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-34 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-14.

City of Life Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Nathan Thompson, who posted 13 points and three steals, and Gio Witt, who earned 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Campbell, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Burns Sci-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of First Baptist Christian Academy.

City of Life Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Burns Sci-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Everything came up roses for City of Life Christian Academy against Burns Sci-Tech in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 80-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for City of Life Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
