Football Recap: Metcalfe County Takes a Loss

Metcalfe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Elizabethtown Panthers 39-6.

Metcalfe County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Elizabethtown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Metcalfe County will take on Clinton County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elizabethtown, they will square off against John Hardin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
