Softball Recap: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Delta Eagles        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Lapel gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Delta Eagles with a sharp  8-1 win. The  victory was nothing new for Lapel as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Krystin Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Davis has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Davis was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
 Davis wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Addison Bodenhorn, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jama Everman, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Lapel has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season. As for Delta, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-15.
 Lapel will head out on the road to  challenge  Shenandoah at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Shenandoah is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Lapel a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Delta will take on Wapahani at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
