Basketball Recap: Westlake Piles Up the Points Against Valley Forge

There's no place like home for Westlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 53-18 victory over the Valley Forge Patriots. The game marked the Demons' most dominant win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westlake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Liana Ostrowski, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave Ostrowski a new career-high in points. Ella Henton was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 11 points and five steals.

Despite the loss, Valley Forge still got an impressive performance from Taylor Patrick, who posted 12 points.

With the victory, Westlake broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-7. As for Valley Forge, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.

Westlake has already played their next contest, a 44-39 win against Normandy on the 3rd. As for Valley Forge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-14 defeat against North Royalton on the 3rd.
