Groom snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Groom Tigers vs. Valley Patriots

After a string of three wins, the Groom Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 36-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valley. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, Groom couldn't push the score so high this time.

Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kanyon Taylor, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayson Cruse, who scored eight points.

Groom's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-14. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Groom will be playing in front of their home fans against Silverton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Silverton will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Groom surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Hedley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley is facing Hedley at the right time seeing as Hedley is stuck on a 11-game losing streak.
