Basketball Recap: Albia Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pleasantville last Thursday, Albia came back down to earth. The Albia Blue Demons fell 69-56 to the Knoxville Panthers on Friday. The Blue Demons have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Albia's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Knoxville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albia will head out to challenge Ankeny Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Albia's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Knoxville, they will venture away from home to take on Oskaloosa at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Oskaloosa: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Knoxville has snatched up 12 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
