Volleyball Recap: Germantown Finds Home Court Redemption Against D'iberville

There's no place like home for Germantown, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the D'Iberville Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Germantown took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10.

Grace Rushing paced Germantown's offense, picking up ten kills. Rushing got some help from May Gee and her eight assists. Makenzie Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Germantown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for D'Iberville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Coming up, Germantown is taking a road trip to face off against Brandon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for D'Iberville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Oak Grove on the 30th.
