Basketball Game Preview: Regents Lions vs. West Memphis Christian Black Knights

Regents hasn't had much luck against West Memphis Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Regents Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Memphis Christian Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Regents turned things around against North Sunflower Academy back in December of 2024. They breezed by the Rebels to the tune of 62-22. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, West Memphis Christian waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their game with ease, bagging a 59-18 victory over the Thunderbirds. The Black Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 31 points or more this season.

West Memphis Christian pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Regents, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
