Basketball Recap: Harmony Christian Comes Up Short

Harmony Christian lost against Trinity Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Harmony Christian Hawks were beaten by Trinity Christian 52-20. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Harmony Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Edric Boateng posted nine points and six rebounds. That was a full 45% of Harmony Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Trinity Christian was led to victory by Jamal Khan and Ryan Khan. Jamal went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds, while Ryan put up 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Tweedie, who had seven points and three steals.

Harmony Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Trinity Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Harmony Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-40 loss against Kearny Christian Academy on the 12th. As for Trinity Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-35 victory against Faith Christian on the 12th.
