Football Game Preview: Texas Tigers vs. Lake Creek Lions + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Kameron Wrightner and Zach Colwell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Texas Tigers will challenge the Lake Creek Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Texas will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Texas' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-0 win over Nacogdoches. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Texas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmad Moore, who rushed for 56 yards and one score, and also caught one TD. Xavier Powell also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Texas was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nacogdoches only rushed for 85.

Meanwhile, Lake Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over West Fork on Friday, taking the game 37-24.

Texas' win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Lake Creek, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything came up roses for Texas against Lake Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2020, as the squad secured a 37-7 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Lions' Justin Freeney, who rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Tigers to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
