Volleyball Recap: Fremd Find Success

Fremd won the last time they faced South Elgin and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings skirted past the Storm 2-1.

Fremd was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (76-72), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 17-25, 27-25.

When it comes to explaining why South Elgin lost, don't look at Brady Melvin. Despite the final result, he had 17 digs and five assists.

Fremd is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for South Elgin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

After both having extra time off, Fremd and Conant will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Elgin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Palatine on the 24th.
