Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Prep Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

If Bishop Foley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Notre Dame Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Kaylyn Sowers. The Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish blew past the Bishop Foley Ventures 50-25 on Friday thanks in part to Sowers, who posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in February of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ellison Whalen, who put up six points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Notre Dame Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Bishop Foley, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Notre Dame Prep has already played their next contest (against Almont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bishop Foley will welcome Cabrini at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
